choosing where to study
this is getting a little irritating, but I keep thinking, planning, not living. I will try to bring some type of continuity, or pattern into my next step. First, continue with economics, provides solutions, respected, seen as a technical field, unlike sociology, which is " osbscurantist" and does not provide solutions. Ok. So economics. Where? Not in Japan. Not in Singapore, too mathy. Not in US, too expensive. Not in London, too much. Go for France. Close to EU institutions. Why France?
- i speak some french
- i was there for school, had anxiety but in retrospect i like the country
- with pictures,(except for TSE), i can see myself there, unlike NL or SW
- i like the university and its tradition with social sciences + hum at PSL
- i hold eu passport, so price will not be large
- can work while i study
- can find jobs in EU insitutions
- can find jobs in IOs like FAO.
What is the point of your career?
- help in the protein transition
- help in questions like " why do people not buy a full year´s stock in one month? o " why not give a baby a savings account" or " how to subsizie alt proteins?" or " what do we do with the limited resources we have: savings account for baby or constructing a school or paying people their health insurace".
When state is paying state insurace, where does that money come from? When state pays a private health insurance, or is forced from a tribunal or legal case, where does that money come from? when a company pays me a salary, where does that money come from? what is economic growth? more money? more resources? how do we get more resources? where does the money for pensions come from? the return on the market of 10%, means we created wealth of 10% of the market? how is wealth created reflected in the market? how does the agro world work? commodities? who sets the prices of commodities?
Ok, so that´s it. I will go to France. Start applying.
